What if…

What if yesterday had been your last day on planet earth.

What if today you hadn’t seen the dawn arrive, the sun rise or heard the birds sing. What if today you didn’t hear your husband, wife, partner wish you good morning or receive that first kiss of the day or sat with your cup of tea and saw the day begin.

What if today you didn’t see your kids off to school. What if you didn’t get to travel to work or to the shops or to see your friends. What if you didn’t get to hear the hustle and bustle of the traffic, the people on their way to their days routine. What if you didn’t share lunch with your bestie and tell them about your date the night before and how they made you feel. What if you didn’t get to plan the weekend break you were meant to have.

What if you didn’t get to listen about your families day over dinner. What if you didn’t get to go to the class you love so much, where you get to be you. What if you never saw the sunset over the houses, mountains, countryside, river or city. What if you didn’t get to cuddle one more time with the person who means most in the world to you. What if you never got to hear “goodnight, sweet dreams, I love you”.

If you aren’t there, imagine what that day would feel like to them.
You may spend the day worrying about the big things in life but if you don’t remember to take pleasure in the small, seemingly insignificant parts of your day you may find that one day you wake and they are all gone.

What if you changed the way you thought, acted, loved, laughed so that you appreciated every little detail of your life and worried less about the big stuff. Care more about you, your loved ones, the priceless bits of your day and I promise you are better placed to deal with the big stuff.

What if life could be as you choose it to be…. It can!
